For new buildings, the company relies on photovoltaic systems and fast charging stations with green electricity for e-bikes and e-cars. In the branches, efficient LED lighting and refrigerated cabinets with glass doors ensure considerable energy savings. State-of-the-art refrigeration and air conditioning technology uses heat exchangers to conduct the process heat from the cooling systems to heating and cooling the sales rooms. In this way, Kaufland can do without fossil fuels and make an important contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.
