The new construction of the assembly hall is part of the "Masterplan Montagen", which was already adopted around ten years ago. With the bundling of the assemblies in the western part of the plant and the logistics in the immediate vicinity, an optimal plant structure and production flow are to be created: from the pressing plant to the body construction and the paint shop to the assembly. The hall is designed for flexible assembly - for the so-called mix production. This allows both electric and combustion engine models to be manufactured.
